Folio

Terms of Service

Last updated October 16, 2026

These terms govern your use of Folio, an online planner for days, weeks, months, habits, journaling, notes and shared planners (the "Service"). The Service is provided by Megan Henley("we", "us"). When you use Folio you are contracting with Megan Henley.

Acceptance

By creating an account or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using Folio.

Your account

You must be of legal age to form a binding contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission. Provide accurate information, keep your sign-in details confidential, and you are responsible for activity under your account.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service, including by:

  • using it for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
  • sending spam or abusive content, including through shared planner invitations;
  • infringing anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
  • interfering with security — uploading malware, probing or testing for vulnerabilities, scraping, or bypassing usage limits;
  • reverse engineering, reselling or redistributing the Service.

Ownership

We own the Service and its intellectual property, including the software, design, documentation and the Folio name and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Folio within your plan. You keep ownership of your content and give us a limited licence to store and process it only to provide the Service.

Plans, payments and subscriptions

Folio has a free plan and a paid plan, Folio Plus (monthly, yearly or a one-time lifetime purchase). Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, renewal, tax, cancellation and refund terms are set out in Paddle's Buyer Terms. See also our Refund Policy.

Service level

We work hard to keep Folio reliable, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that reminders and calendar feeds will always be delivered on time. The Service is provided "as is" and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost data, profits or goodwill), and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access for a material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You can stop using Folio at any time and ask us to delete your account. When an account ends, its data is deleted within a reasonable period.

Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are significant we will let you know in the app or by email. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
